Monarch Migration 2024 Ohio University. Observations appear immediately, which may result in occasional errors on the maps. Since 2019, hmana's monarch migration program has collected valuable data on monarch abundance and migration routes.
From these results, and other analyses (thogmartin, et al., 2017), it’s clear that sustaining the monarch migration will require protection and restoration of nectar. Each year, monarch butterflies stop in the cleveland area on their southern migration route.
